We have a fort here located at the ridge of our "Teutoburger Wald" looking down to the city beneath. The walking path is a part of one our of long hiking trails , the "Hermann Trail". You can follow it through the forest for 200 km along the hills passing several cities of the region.

 

This place above our city is my favourite vantage point and at times it can be crowded In this case only a young girl sat waiting.

thanks for our visit. The Fort is still there but under full reconstruction (I hope they'll finish this work this year because we are celebrating the 800 aniversary now )

this is nice, thanks a lot for understanding the potential of that location. In summer it is difficult because the tree is dominating and the view is limited then by its foliage.
