Leica T/TL/TL2 - the Image thread

Hi Rick, love the pictures of your trip. How did you find the 18mm Zeiss compared to 18mm on the zoom other than the obvious low light advantage.

No advantage .. the 18 Zeiss is an f4 vs the 3.5 of the 18-56 at 18.  However, the 18 ZM is a prime lens that, in my opinion, when mounted on a CL or TL2 has a remarkable sharpness, resolution and  rendering that rivals that of a Leica Q.  Obviously the Q can shoot in much lower light, but in reasonable light, I feel the images from the 18 Zeiss are equally outstanding.

Here is one of my first test shots with the 18 ZM on theTL2.  It may not be technically any better than the 18 on the zoom, but I enjoy using it and the image quality pleases me.

RV wreck in Bucolic-land...probably homeless folks on the move in Cannabis Country asleep at the wheel. You lose your grip on the steering downhill too fast in the dark, maybe the meth is wearing off or all hope is worn to a nub and everything just flies to pieces.

Some forensics, not.  It was a trailer, not RV. Got GPS metrics?

Rick,

I love the colors and textures. Wonderful shot.

Scroy,

Thank you very much  for the kind words...  I happened to look down and saw it as a lovely composition.

With all the great posts on the T series I decided to join the ranks. I love my CL and although the T has a lower spec and different approach here’s my first attempt. I converted to black and white on the PS moblie app on my Ipad.  T (701) TL18

My grandson's 5th birthday party.

I used the TL 35 on my SL because it is a much lighter weight.  (This lens is just stunning!)  I also used the CL w 18/56 and those photos were likewise quite nice. Will post some later on the CL site.

Beautiful colors, indeed. Also, the bokeh looks very nice.

BTW, your grand children are becoming great models. They have been posing for grandpa since their birth and they learned how to seduce a camera. :)
