It derives from the semaphore signalling system using the flag shapes for N and D - Nuclear Disarmament - in a circle signifying our planet.

In an increasingly unstable world still chock-a-block with nuclear weapons, I'm grateful to have survived another year. Here's wishing us all a happy and safe New Year!

Last day of 2018. A grey, damp day on the West Coast of Sweden, Bohuslän. Leica TL2 @ISO 400, Summilux-TL 1,4/35 ASPH f/1,4. DNG-file processed in Skylum Luminar 3. A Happy New Year 2019 to You All!

First sunlight on the first day of the year 2019 on the West Coast of Sweden, Bohuslän.

Leica TL2, Leitz APO-Telyt-R 3,4/180 mm and Novoflex adapter. DNG-file downloaded via LeicaFOTO to Mac Photos/iCloud and processed in Skylum Luminar 3.
