I took this picture just now as an example. (Ricoh GXR-M + 75AA at ISO1600 / f2.0 / 1/125s. OOC jpeg with no post processing)

There are plenty of details in my daughter's hair, dress and pillow. Yet the contrast and colors are very gentle. And the skin tone is remarkably smooth with a lot of subtlety. I don't see anything I'd describe as clinical.

Since the 50/1.4 ASPH Leica seems to have mastered the art of crafting lenses that are optically perfect but not boring or overbearing, and I feel the 75AA is one of them.

And this I took with the 80 Lux many years ago on Kodak E100G slide film. The aperture must have been f4.0 or so. This lens would start to get good at f2.8 or slower, and between f4 and f5.6 it was simply sublime. Gorgeous, warm colors with incredible sharpness.

I however never liked the lens at f2.0 or wider as it was too soft for my taste and details looked smeared. But that's very subjective.

75AA wide open (Ricoh GXR-M at ISO800 1/200s)

I missed the focus by a bit but not very visible after some sharpening
