Iduna Posted April 18, 2014 Share #6 Posted April 18, 2014 Louis, this is not at all a dead leaf. This is a red leaf. The composition is excellent and the glowing color with all the fine details and the flowing water is the essence of a life circle. There is no deathin this circle but a vibrant return to life. allamande Posted April 21, 2014 Share #9 Posted April 21, 2014 Iduna, You are in denial. This is a red dead leaf! Louis, this leaf is probably more beautiful in this state than when it was hanging on its branch, green and alive...By now, its replacement must be either in place, or on its way! Ece
Louis Posted April 21, 2014 Author Share #10 Posted April 21, 2014 Iduna, You are in denial. This is a red dead leaf! Louis, this leaf is probably more beautiful in this state than when it was hanging on its branch, green and alive...By now, its replacement must be either in place, or on its way! Ece Thank you so much, Ece.... Your comments remind me of visiting a museum and liking things that may not have been as interesting during their natural life! LOL I am sure some leaves, like many other things in nature, look more interesting in decay rather than proudly blooming! Maybe this is what Iduna was kindly suggesting! Hank Taylor Posted May 2, 2014 Share #13 Posted May 2, 2014 Louis, just caught your beautiful picture and I am reminded of Yves Montand in the 1946 film "Les Portes de la nuit which introduced "les feuilles mortes" Thanks for sharing with us your tribute to a fallen leaf. Louis Posted May 2, 2014 Author Share #14 Posted May 2, 2014 Thank you so much, Hank! Besides Yves Montand, many other French celebrities song this "classic"! ... As the mater of fact, I almost called this thread "Une feuille morte"; but then I thought most of the viewers in this site are more familiar with English than with French! arthury Posted May 3, 2014 Share #15 Posted May 3, 2014 I like the way the leaf was partially veiled by the surface reflection but yet, it is still visible. It gave it a sort of mysterious look. We captured and good find.
