Sorry to hear that you missed out on your planned walk but bad backs are not things to take lightly, so you are doing the right thing. Thanks for adding your Kookie story, I suspect it is a reflex action for them to give everything they catch a good bashing, my silly birds have even been known to give a ball of raw minced meat the killer treatment, sending small bits of meat flying everywhere, they then sit there looking dopey and wondering where their meal went.
