platypus Posted April 11, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 11, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Autumn is here and it just keeps raining. I took these during a small break between storms this morning. The grass really is that slightly overdone shade of green, no enhancement. M9/75 Summilux Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted April 11, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 11, 2014 Dee, A fine series. I like the first one the most for its simplicity and yet the dynamic presence that the single tree with the perspective. Paul
Iduna Posted April 11, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 11, 2014 Dee, a delightful series with great colors. There is no complaint about the vivid gree. On the contrary it makes the effect and is essentil for the composition. I also like the grey sky which is giving the colors a good vibrance. I hope you'll have a rich autumn. stuny Posted April 11, 2014 Share #4 Posted April 11, 2014 A lovely set, individually and as a series. It's also good to see that NSW is getting serious rain.
Louis Posted April 11, 2014 Share #5 Posted April 11, 2014 Dee, this is a beautiful set, but my favorite is the first one. That lonely tree gives a mood that goes so well with your subject. I am looking forward for some more fall shots when trees turn to gold and fire!

fotografr Posted April 12, 2014 Share #8 Posted April 12, 2014 An outstanding collection of thoughtfully composed images that capture the essence of Autumn's beauty. It seems strange to view these just as we are entering the early stages of Spring.

allamande Posted April 13, 2014 Share #11 Posted April 13, 2014 Dee, I said this before but it's worth repeating, you live in such a lovely setting; lucky you! This is a marvelous set because, as always, it manages to bring the feeling of "being there" to the viewer. I feel the dampness and the cool smell of the soil and the grass after the storm, and see the leaves starting to fall. Your dispatches like this one take me out of my head and lead me to think globally (not just think Spring) as I look out my window and see some lizards running around the sage bush which is in full bloom right now. platypus Posted April 15, 2014 Author Share #12 Posted April 15, 2014 Ece, thanks so much for your lovely comment. If you (and perhaps others) are able to get a sense of my feelings for the countryside through my photographs then I have succeeded in no small measure! Thank you too for giving me a vision of lizards and sage brush in bloom and of the desert right outside your window!
