Advertisement Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Hi platypus, Take a look here A collection of feathers.. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Iduna Posted April 4, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 4, 2014 Dee, nice composition. The B&W toning is emphasizing theartistic character of these little wonders of nature. Somehow there is also this vintage look of fashion in it.
pauledell Posted April 4, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 4, 2014 Dee, A fine shot with the timeless feel due to the toning. Something from the era of the old masters. Paul
Northwest Wanderer Posted April 4, 2014 Share #4 Posted April 4, 2014 Nice image. I agree with Iduna & Paul. The image has the characteristics of a old technical photo. Always nice to see images like this.

platypus Posted April 5, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted April 5, 2014 Thanks folks! We have had four days of constant rain (an extremely rare event) so I thought I'd pass the time playing around with some still lifes/lives.

stuny Posted April 10, 2014 Share #8 Posted April 10, 2014 Lovely, and the toning suits it well.
fotografr Posted April 11, 2014 Share #9 Posted April 11, 2014 By the way, you must be very happy about the rain. Hasn't it been extremely dry there for quite some time? The more I look at this photo the more I am impressed with the amazing array of patterns. The arrangement is very effective, as is the toning. platypus Posted April 11, 2014 Author Share #10 Posted April 11, 2014 Brent, thanks for liking the feathers! And the rain has indeed been miraculous, and it just keeps coming. At the same time those who predict these things are promising us a very dry spring and extremely hot summer, the Pacific ocean is warming up, which augers badly for those of us on the land in Australia.
