Advertisement Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Hi John McMaster, Take a look here 21mm Summilux vs 15mm/2.8 Distagon. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
algrove Posted April 7, 2014 Share #22 Â Posted April 7, 2014 I already have the 12mm/5.6 VC and the 21mm/2.8 Biogon ZM.So, those focal lengths and their vicinity are covered. Â I may also throw the 24mm Summilux into the mix to consider as I am beginning to see that the 24mm Summilux may be a touch sharper when the subject is closer, just eye-balling the images. But, I guess the 24mm Summilux is not supported by the rangefinder but it also requires an external VF or EVF or LV. Â You might be better off renting any lens rather than asking all of us about any number of lenses you desire or are interested in learning about. arthury Posted April 7, 2014 Author Share #25 Â Posted April 7, 2014 Keep in mind the 21 lux is a big animal. Read and rent. Â Thanks for the suggestion. I have the Noct f/0.95 and I know how fingers can get cramps holding an M9 or M240 with a front-heavy lens.

To me it's not as front heavy as my Noctilux 0.95, but balances more like the Noctilux 1.0.

arthury Posted April 8, 2014 Author Share #28 Â Posted April 8, 2014 Besides Flickr, do you guys know of a good cache of images shot with the 21mm Summilux? Â This lens seems so rare, even with posted images on the Internet. Reviews are also rare compared to the Noctilux. A casual search showed around 10 reviews for the Noct but there under 3-4 for the 21mm.

You can search for images based upon lens type.   Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

arthury Posted April 8, 2014 Author Share #31 Â Posted April 8, 2014 I have even gone over to LFI to look. There were some but not a lot. Â Owners of the 21mm 'lux, where are your images which you've always wanted to show off? May I see them, please, so I can drool all over my monitor?
