Hello everyone

I'm new to the forum ( and not sure if i posted in the right forum section :/ )...i always take a look and read it but now i need an advice...so here i am :)

I have a Noctilux hood (12539 version) but, as you can see on the pictures, I noticed that it has just one spring on one side...Could anyway tell me if it could be a real issue and it could not stay safe on the lens ?

Unfortunately ( well, fortunately too :) ) i own a different Noctilux f /1 version ( E58 )....so i can't even try it by myself :/

Thank you in advance for any help

Luca

Welcome to the forum !!

(and... benvenuto, Luca... ;))

not a great issue, I'd say... maybe a (potential) little play when mounted... not dangerous unless one uses the camera in situations with high risks of knocks.... which one AVOIDS WITH CARE when using a Noctilux... :p

I think also that a fine craftman (clock repairer ?) can remount a similar spring... it's not a critical component...

Thanks a lot for the tip, Luigi :)

I think I'll try to sell it as it is ...I will probably look for a craftman if i won't find anyone who will buy it in this conditions ...

Thank again

Ciao everybody ! :)
