Stealth3kpl Posted March 25, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 25, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just received a SBOOI for use on my 111f. What are the options for a 35 FOV? Pete
Advertisement Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Hi Stealth3kpl, Take a look here SBOOI for 35mm FOV. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
giordano Posted March 25, 2014 Share #2 Posted March 25, 2014 SBLOO (12010 I think) to go with the SBOOI. Otherwise, all the usual suspects made 35mm finders, including Voigtlander (both old and Cosina), Canon, Komura, Zeiss, Kodak, and the USSR.
payasam Posted March 26, 2014 Share #3 Posted March 26, 2014 The SBLOO is now unreasonably expensive. I found the Cosina-Voigtlander finder smaller but as good. Unlike the Nikon one I had earlier, the C-V one is the bright line kind. For parallax correction it has only a line for near distance.
Stealth3kpl Posted March 27, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted March 27, 2014 Thanks Payasam, I have the voigt21/24 finder and really like it. I didn't know they have a 35mm version. Pete
leicaphilia Posted March 29, 2014 Share #5 Posted March 29, 2014 The SBLOO is now unreasonably expensive. I found the Cosina-Voigtlander finder smaller but as good. Unlike the Nikon one I had earlier, the C-V one is the bright line kind. For parallax correction it has only a line for near distance. The SBLOO, while expensive, is the nicest out there, with the VC brightline close behind. Big and Bright. Very cool looking sitting atop a III. You can usually find a nice SBLOO on Ebay for around $250; the VC will run you $150 used on Ebay. To me, its worth the extra $100 to have the SBLOO on your Barnack, as it matches the vintage and manufacture of the camera...part of the appeal, for me, of using the old Barnacks.
Stealth3kpl Posted April 1, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted April 1, 2014 I bought one of these in the end. It's fine, I think. Pete
