ian_taylor Posted March 8, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Another few from India. This was my first time using a digital rangefinder, so a couple thoughts about that as well. The fact I didn't have to lug around Canon stuff made a massive difference. And not putting this massive camera between myself and my subjects definitely made for more natural portraits IMO. And manual focus at wide apertures really slowed me down. In a good way. The only issue I was having was vignetting and magenta with the CV 35/2.5 and 21/4. This was cleared up by using the in camera profiles. It was like I had brand new lenses. After that I had far more confidence in the files. The RAW files look amazing. The best thing is that the M9 makes me want to travel. Welcome, dear visitor! leica dream Posted March 8, 2014 Share #6 Posted March 8, 2014 What a stunning collection. We were in India 18 months ago and it is truly a photographers' paradise. The people are so humble, warm and welcoming which your sequence captures superbly. I am sure I must be missing something, but for me the b/w images never seem as stunning as the colour. On my screen, at least (not just yours but all b/w on this site) look so grainy compared with crystal clear colour images. Richard
