01af Posted March 7, 2014 Share #4 Â Posted March 7, 2014 When a photographer does magic work with certain equipment, simple minds inevitably will attribute the magic to the equipment, not the photographer ... especially when the particular equipment is rare and hard to come by. This is what happened to the Konica Hexanon 60 mm 1:1.2 after Yanidel published his remarkable review of this lens on his blog a couple of years ago. Â It is a good lens, no doubt about that. But it deploys no more magic than the photographer who employs it. If you're a real photographer then you will do magic with any good lens. If you're not then a Konica Hexanon 60 mm 1:1.2 just ain't gonna help.
CheshireCat Posted March 8, 2014 Share #5 Â Posted March 8, 2014 When a photographer does magic work with certain equipment, simple minds inevitably will attribute the magic to the equipment, not the photographer ... Â Equipment certainly helps though... many passionate guys are injecting some magic in the lenses they design.
jaapv Posted March 8, 2014 Share #6 Â Posted March 8, 2014 I doubt that Konica would be able/willing to service this lens. I would rather turn to one of the reputed camera technicians. But you could ask.

horosu Posted March 9, 2014 Share #8 Â Posted March 9, 2014 It's a combination of both. One can't do it without the other. Â Yes you can. Please see pictures taken years ago with lesser lenses (technically). Â Of course, if you need to shoot landscapes and read the newspaper in the guy's hand from 20 feet away than you are looking for pure resolution and this has nothing to do with a lot of other things that make a photo great: composition, light, emotion

Otherwise, we would all be using an iPhone.
