pauledell Posted February 27, 2014 Share #2 Posted February 27, 2014 Ali, A nice shot with the overall sharpness, tones and treatment of the flowing water. I would suggest cropping about a fourth of the bottom of the picture. I find that area somewhat uninteresting. Paul
newnew Posted February 27, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted February 27, 2014 Paul, Thanks for your comment and suggestion about the cropping. In that case, I believe the mass balance of the picture will be spoiled between the "static" areas (pebbles) and the "dynamic" areas where water brings a painterly effect in lighter tones. This effect is stronger on the closer areas where the speed is more perceptible. I understand it is difficult to see all this in the small web picture. I have printed a bigger version at home which I believe, is more satisfactory for supporting what I wrote above. I really appreciate your open comments on this. janlu Posted March 1, 2014 Share #4 Posted March 1, 2014 Of your three offerings , this is my favorite , though it was interesting to see all your different approaches ! Thanks , Gianluca
newnew Posted March 1, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted March 1, 2014 Gianluca, Thanks. I must confess it is all experimental. I was trying to capture the violence of the smallest water movements and contrast it with the static of the what remains on the shores. I also like this picture and no 3 most.
