Hi

I have a lovely 35mm 'lux with M3 eyes.:)

Is is feasible, economical and/or sacrilege to convert it to a "normal" 'lux so i can use it on my M4-2 and any future model M I might buy?

I would never need to use it on an M3.

Thanks, Julian

Actually, the goggled lenses work just fine on other M cameras, and not just the M3. I bought a goggled f/2.8 Summaron specifically for my M2 so that I could see the 35mm framelines more easily. It's on my M(240) right now, and very satisfactory other than a slight lowering of viewfinder brightness.

The optical effects of the goggles on the viewfinder are coordinated with the lens's RF coupling cam. With the goggles removed, focusing is messed up. I'd suggest using your goggled Summilux as-is and be happy! :)
