Dougg Posted February 19, 2014 Share #21 Â Posted February 19, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) How long does it take to run a batch of compressed DNGs through cornering? Let's say 300-400 images? I guess it depends on computer power too so could you specify what machine you have? Thanks. Hi - I have an iMac 27" with 2.8 GHz core i7 running Mountain Lion. I happened to notice in a recent batch of 65 M240 files CornerFix reported taking 0.57 seconds per file, so it finished in 37 seconds.
Advertisement Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Hi Dougg, Take a look here Elmarit 21 Asph OR Zeiss Biogon 2,8/21 on M240?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
lenicolas Posted February 20, 2014 Author Share #22 Â Posted February 20, 2014 Thanks for the info. Then do you keep both versions of the file? Or is the Cornerfix action so efficient and invisible that you don't see a need to keep your "originals" ?
Dougg Posted February 20, 2014 Share #23 Â Posted February 20, 2014 Thanks for the info. Then do you keep both versions of the file? Or is the Cornerfix action so efficient and invisible that you don't see a need to keep your "originals" ? CornerFix instructions suggest keeping the originals, probably a conservative suggestion. But it's the safe option, you never know what flaw might be discovered. And there are settings to ensure the output is compatible with OS versions and CaptureOne etc. Â Additional info here: https://sites.google.com/site/cornerfix/ Â Doug
SJP Posted March 2, 2014 Share #24 Â Posted March 2, 2014 Not wishing to derail this thread or indeed starting a new one on the Elmarit 21 ASPH which I have added to the fold (great lens IMHO, esp. on the M8), I have a question. The second hand thing (very slight used is maybe more appropriate) came with the 12592 hood which appears to be falling apart...... The clamping ring has the tendency to separate from the plastic hood part. Considering the price of a new one I am wondering what to do - just glue the darn thing together? Is there a (cheap) vented hood? I think 55 mm is the one I would need. Â Suggestions are welcome.
IWC Doppel Posted March 3, 2014 Share #25 Â Posted March 3, 2014 I have the same hood on my 21 and 24 with no issues at all. If its not repairable I'd modify or glue rather than try a poorly designed aftermarket
Dougg Posted March 3, 2014 Share #26 Â Posted March 3, 2014 While the lens has a 55mm filter thread, the 12592 hood is a push-on, and is marked for the 58mm outside diameter of the lens. Â I too would look into getting it repaired, maybe even send it off to DAG... Â Doug
