On a Fuji forum, I first noticed that you were a Leica and Fuji shooter.

I was very impressed by the images on your web site.

I have found your post on this Leica forum and on the Fuji forum to be very useful.

Please keep up the good work. I value your insight.

Out of curiosity, is your son affiliated with the Maryland, New Orleans, or Chicago Loyola University?

Thank you for visiting my web site and your comments.

My son is a junior at Loyola University, Maryland. He loves it there.

A two lens travel kit must be a 28, plus’s another 28 as a backup. And a small 50 in my pocket if things screw up😂

Now I finally found a great copy of the rare Konica 21-35 dual M-Hexanon (2 focal lengths, not zoom) and it works really great with my M10, my new combo is:

Konica 21-35 + 35FLE

That dual focal length Konica is a very interesting lens, and pretty light at 295g, allowing several options for adding a wide aperture 50mm or small telephoto lens to make a versatile two-lens kit. It is a pity Leica or Voigtlander have never taken up the idea.

Had you used a scale or by adding weights with lenses specifications ?

I saw that Leica gear IS light even with giant Noctilux/Summilux choices.

Anyway, I think that you have reached the "non -return-stage" 😇 (as I did for long).

The 1405g Summaron 28mm combined with Noctilux 50mm could be my choice, by now.

I thought they are more weighty together than that.

🍾

👌Happy birthday Del-Uks  🍸

-       Leica Summaron-M 35mm f/2.8 E39 :                                                        ~210g / L:29mm (without hood)

-       Minolta M-Rokkor 40mm f/2.0 II (CLE) E40.5 :                                          ~105g / L:22mm (without hood)

-       Leica Noctilux 50mm f/1.0 II E60 :                                                                ~580g / L:62mm (without hood)

-       Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 III E46 :                                                      ~275g / L:46.7mm

Does anyone carry two M10’s with there favourite lenses mounted? Seems to me one M10 with two lenses is not ideal when a shot comes up and you miss the opportunity whilst changing lenses

What about Leica M10 + Summilux 35mm + Tele-Elmarit 90mm ?

Damn... I forgot this combo.

That would be ~1’206g

Not too heavy and quite versatile.

Not M10s, but film Ms. I carry two bodies with lenses mounted when travelling overseas.  Last trip it was 28 Elmarit M ASPH and 50 Summicron.

I’ve taken other combinations that include a 35 Summaron 2.8. The wider lens (28 or 35) invariably becomes the primary shooter.

Let me throw a monkey wrench to this discussion lol

What if you have 2 bodies and want to bring an extra lens. M240 + M246. Lenses available are WATE, 50APO, 35Cron, 28 Summaron and 90APO. Asking for a friend 😉

Doesn't carrying two bodies kind of defeat the idea of traveling light?

LJS

Thanks for your comment but my point is not to travel light but to simplify my kit. Also if you noticed, one is color and the other is monochrome👍 🙂
