stuny Posted February 6, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted February 6, 2014 Colmac, Lars, Guenther, Paul, Gianluca, Mike & Karl - thank you. Quan - Thank you. This is with my V-Lux 4 which Barbara gave to me in December 2012. Since getting it all of my other cameras have been sitting on the shelf (with the exception of my underwater camera which I used in September). Brenton C Posted February 11, 2014 Share #19 Posted February 11, 2014 Great shot! You must have been a distance away. .. So how did you get the depth of field so nice with the back ground all a blur?
stuny Posted February 11, 2014 Author Share #20 Posted February 11, 2014 Brenton - Thank you. Actually, I was not that far away from the bird, though I do not recall the distance. The lens was wide open (f1/2.8) at 1/640 of a second, and my V-Lux 4 was at full zoom (the 35 MM equivalent of 600 MM). The bird is about the size of a dove.
