Leicaiste Posted January 28, 2014 Share #21  Posted January 28, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am using this A&A case to transport my APO 180/2,8 + R to M adapter + tripod mount  Artisan&Artist* Bags  It stays in my handheld luggage when I travel and I switch it with other lenses in my camera bag when I need it.  The case stays in the room safe with whatever lens is in it. wlaidlaw Posted January 28, 2014 Author Share #22 Â Posted January 28, 2014 Many hotel safes can be opened by anyone, as the hotel has not bothered to change the manufacturers unlock code from 000000 or 123456. There is a manufacturers unlock code, so that the hotel can open the safe, if the guest has forgotten the number they coded in or shut the safe door without clearing the combination, when they vacated the room. Other safes have a small makers panel held on by two screws under the combination pad. Apparently if this is unscrewed, there is a mechanical lock underneath, that is so simple, it can be tripped with a bent paper clip. We were having a discussion about this the other day and it took seconds to find this information online with videos on Youtube. Â Wilson
