Leica 35/50 summarits no hood 24/7

I have used both 35 and 50 Summarits for a few years now without the hood. Both lenses are very flare resistant (the 35 Summarit without hood is more flare resistant than my 35 FLE with hood) and can be used with confidence this way.

Stump, forget about hoods on both 50 and 35 Summarit.

I see no differences with or without it.

I screw on a hood only to protect the lens from rain droplets :D

Summarits are almost flare-proof

Would the non-use of a lens hood apply to the 75 summarit as well - is it as flare proof as the wider lenses?

I had a 75 Summarit without hood on loan for a while and found it every bit as flare resistant as the 35 and 50 (and much more flare resistant than the first 75 Summicron I owned).
