paulsydaus Posted January 13, 2014 Share #1 Â Posted January 13, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone. I'm interested in getting the Zeiss Makro 100/2 for some occasional macro stuff on the M240. Would it be better to buy the Nikon or Canon mount version? Also, what adapter will I need? Thanks everyone again! Paul

JuanLeon Posted January 14, 2014 Share #2  Posted January 14, 2014 Both Canon and Nikon are the same lens but with different mount. I do have the ZF version and it performs very well on the M240 with the EVF, but it is very big and heavy for a Leica. Focusing is easy with focus peaking, although I'd look elsewhere for a macro lens with 1:1 reproduction and a tripod mount.  Couple of snaps at f/2: Welcome, dear visitor! paulsydaus Posted January 14, 2014 Author Share #6 Â Posted January 14, 2014 Thanks Juan, Can you recommend anything other than the Zeiss 100/2 that does 1:1? Also, which adapter are you using for your Zeiss? Thanks! rirakuma Posted January 14, 2014 Share #7 Â Posted January 14, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) The 100/2 has a lot of pop but its also notorious for CA. From what I remember this lens only goes down to 1:2 magnification.
marknorton Posted January 14, 2014 Share #8 Â Posted January 14, 2014 Alternatives would be the Leica 100mm Elmarit-R or the 60mm which is rather less expensive.

Thanks!  Talking about SRL lenses, great macros are the Tanrom 90 and the Sigma 150 2.8, which has a tripod mount. I'm using the Novoflex Nikon G-Leica adapter, because i have some Nikon lenses without aperture ring.  These are with the Sigma: Welcome, dear visitor!
