fernando_b Posted July 26, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Italian official price list of Leica doesn't include entries for C-LUX1 or D-LUX-2 memory cards. Does someone have experience about using panasonic SD memory cards (512MB) in C-LUX1? Thank you in advance, Fernando.
Advertisement Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Hi fernando_b, Take a look here memory cards for C-LUX1. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
bill Posted July 26, 2006 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2006 Fernando, not only is the C-Lux1, like all recent "Leica" digitals, a Panasonic in a dinner jacket, to the best of my recollection, Panasonic invented the SD card. In any event, SD cards are standard; you pays your money for their quality of manufacture, write speed and warranty. Suggest you look at Sandisk and Lexar as well as Panasonic. brucemcl Posted August 4, 2006 Share #3 Posted August 4, 2006 I agree with Bill that Panasonic is a safe choice and Lexar and Sandisk are two highly regarded SD card manufacturers. I want to mention one more company called ATP. http://flash.atpinc.com/ I first heard about these people in regards to cell phone memory. People on forums kept saying, "If you have any memory problems with your phone, try an ATP card, that should fix it." They are not as well known as some other brands but I am very happy with them. They make fast SD cards that have been reliable in the cameras I have used them with.
whorg Posted August 4, 2006 Share #4 Posted August 4, 2006 I use the SanDisk Ultra 1GB SD cards with USB . . . the card snaps in half, folds onto itself . . . exposing a male USB plug. Perfect for travel, never need to bring my card reader again. Good Luck . . . ~josef
pinetar Posted August 4, 2006 Share #5 Posted August 4, 2006 Wed. I rec'd a mini-sd card, sandisk Ultra II, 2 gig fron http://www.newegg.com, $77.00 for my ppc 6700 cell phone. It comes with an adapter to be able to use the card in sd devices. What is nice, is that I can shoot pics in my d-lux2, put the card back into my cell and the card is not reformatted. So i can view and email the pics from my cell. gary
