oslermarine Posted January 6, 2014 Share #1 Â Posted January 6, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I am thinking about getting a 1000x B+W ND filter for my voigtlander 15mm (52mm thread). I use it on my M240 and I have profiles made for the lens on flat field DNG. My question is, will long exposure with the ND filter make the color shift worse? I suspect yes. Also would the work around be to create profiles with the 1000x filter?

250swb Posted January 6, 2014 Share #2  Posted January 6, 2014 You might want to look at this thread before you do....  http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m-type-240/314052-risked-life-limb-get-shot-7000-a.html  ....the colour shift may be the least of your problems.  In a nutshell the mount between the lens and body is likely to leak light with a very long exposure. In the thread linked above ignore the posts that say it isn't a light leak, it is. But there are workarounds so don't despair, something wrapped tight around the mount (a girls hairband scrunchy is the favourite so far) will stop the leak. All you then have to do is sort out the colour, and I'll leave that for somebody else to sort out because I don't know.  Steve
