Anna's Hummingbird

The hummingbird feeders in my yard have attracted several of the resident Anna's Hummingbirds, one of which is an adult male with full breeding plumage (the Anna's Hummingbird is one of the first birds to nest each year). Today I had the time to take advantage of the little buzz-birds' antics:

 

technical stuff: R8/DMR, 280mm f/4 APO, tripod & blind. All comments welcome.

Thanks for all the kind remarks! On another forum (yes there are others) there was a recent discussion of retirement and one observation was that a successful retirement is where you are retiring to something, not from something. Retirement for me is less than a year away and I have a pretty good idea what I'll be retiring to. I can hardly wait!
