stuny Posted January 3, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 3, 2014 Excellent, though if you can pull up a bit of detail on the breast and under the wings it would be even better.
Northwest Wanderer Posted January 3, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted January 3, 2014 Excellent, though if you can pull up a bit of detail on the breast and under the wings it would be even better. Thank you Paul & Stuart. You're right Stuart. I'll see what I can do. I've been after this shot for some time so I might as well make it as good as possible. Northwest Wanderer Posted January 4, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted January 4, 2014 Thank you Karl. I bird was a good distance away so I couldn't get the feather detail I wanted. The image below has detail but not the pose I wanted. Guess I'll be back at the lake trying for the classic shot again. Poor me. Welcome, dear visitor! Northwest Wanderer Posted January 6, 2014 Author Share #10 Posted January 6, 2014 Thank you Iduna, Truth is I lust very lucky to have the chance to photograph them. At the moment we now have over 200 eagles in my area. The numbers are nearing their peak.
Iduna Posted January 6, 2014 Share #11 Posted January 6, 2014 Bill, then shoot whatever you can. This is a great chance to improve skill and get your reward processing the results. It needs patience and knowledge also to find them and watch them in their habitat.
Northwest Wanderer Posted January 6, 2014 Author Share #12 Posted January 6, 2014 Thank you Iduna, I enjoy seeing and photographing these birds. To get the image I want takes many tries. I think that is half the fun of this type of photography. I'll get the classic image as I want it but it might take some time. It makes for an enjoyable adventure.
