Einst_Stein Posted December 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 25, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) My Leica M9 does not fit that purpose. Leica R8 works if it's on a professional's hands, but not mine.

stuny Posted December 26, 2013 Share #3 Posted December 26, 2013 For smaller or more distant birds you'll need more reach than Jaap had when he got that wonderful photo of a gull. Give some consideration to the V-Lux-4, which is the Leica version of a Panasonic camera with a 35mm equivalent to a 24-600 MM lens. Welcome, dear visitor! Northwest Wanderer Posted December 26, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 26, 2013 I feel Stuart has given you the answer. The V-Lux 4 with its zoom range and focus tracking features is capable of delivering good flight images. I've been using a V-Lux 4 for flight images and find it a good choice.
