Gabriel66 Posted December 16, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted December 16, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I made a trip into the past, trying a Elmar 90/4 three lenses borrowed from a friend. I must say that the results are surprising, for a lens of 50 years ago. The blog address is always the same. Advertisement Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Hi Gabriel66, Take a look here Testing Elmar 90/4 three lenses (1962). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
plewislambert Posted December 16, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted December 16, 2013 Is that the three element 90mm? Is it sharper than the 4 element version? I found my results were sharper when I changed to the Elmarit 90mm f2.8. Â Philip:)
Gabriel66 Posted December 17, 2013 Author Share #3 Â Posted December 17, 2013 I have not had the chance to try the old Elmarit 2.8, but the formula Elmar should be more sharper. The latest elmarit 2,8 is very razor sharp as R model (same formula). Gabriele Caproni photographer
payasam Posted December 17, 2013 Share #4 Â Posted December 17, 2013 My Elmarit (ELRIM from 1968) is a good bit sharper than the Elmar I had (ELANG from 1951). I also have a Canon 100/3.5 which is better than that Elmar. This is of course too small a sample to come to any firm conclusions.
