platypus Posted December 8, 2013 Share #5 Posted December 8, 2013 Bill, Lovely photos and these are such decorative birds compared to our quail, which are beige coloured to match the summer grass, and not nearly so pretty. I begged out of shooting a Dicken's Christmas street performers in Skaneateles because of the cold and wind today. I'm becoming a wuss. Come back to Cal, birds! Ece Ece, North Idaho is as far north as these birds range. Yesterday I noticed the covey (about 12 birds) marching out of my barn after eating grain that had spilt on the ground. They are fun to watch.
