I found these figures today close to the shore of the Baltic sea. Welcome, dear visitor! Northwest Wanderer Posted December 7, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 7, 2013 Stig, Nice images of the ice formations. It's always interesting to see how ice transforms objects. The first and second images work for me. BTW, it's 0 degrees F outside at the moment.
stickan1 Posted December 7, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted December 7, 2013 Thanks, third is more experimental! 0 F it is really cold, we have around 20 but with gale winds and it will drop to zero F this night they say.

Northwest Wanderer Posted December 7, 2013 Share #5 Posted December 7, 2013 Thanks, third is more experimental! 0 F it is really cold, we have around 20 but with gale winds and it will drop to zero F this night they say. With gale winds I would think the wind chill would be amazingly low. The winds might make for unusual ice formations. I find ice to be an art form under such conditions. stickan1 Posted December 7, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted December 7, 2013 The wind will also drop, luckily!

fotografr Posted December 7, 2013 Share #8 Posted December 7, 2013 I'm with Karl on that, but they are still beautiful. It's much warmer here. We got to 9 degrees F today.
platypus Posted December 8, 2013 Share #9 Posted December 8, 2013 Beautiful ice sculptures and lovely photos! We have 30 degrees celsius here today that's 86 F (?)....unfortunately it's perfect weather for small biting flies and we have lots. They make photography very challenging by crawling up the photographer's nose at the most crucial moments. Time for the Aerogard I think.
