Advertisement Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Hi jcraf, Take a look here Brittany Street 2005. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Hank Taylor Posted December 7, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 7, 2013 John, after looking over your picture I must admit, I wasn't sure I like it untill I saw the sexy lady in the window. Hank
jcraf Posted December 7, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted December 7, 2013 Thanks Hank. That to me was the shot, although not obvious. 2 ordinary French ladies ignoring each other in a rather dull scene, and another more romantic world depicted in the poster looking down on them. Karl G Posted December 7, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 7, 2013 Very nice tones and passing moment.
pauledell Posted December 8, 2013 Share #5 Posted December 8, 2013 John, A fine picture with tones and sharpness as well as interest. I think the composition is a little weak because nothing is offered to see in the left half of the picture. Paul
jcraf Posted December 8, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted December 8, 2013 Thanks Paul. I agree. It is interesting to me that this shot is 8 years old, done on film with an MP. It probably would have been rejected when I downloaded it from a digital M these days. It is also interesting to me that (I think) my ability has improved in the last 8 years, helped I am sure by the instant feedback we receive from digital technology. I hardly shoot film at all now, but I wonder how many of us, should we return to it, would find our ability with this medium has benefited from our time with digital cameras? However this makes me admire the likes of H C-B even more!!
