Already got a CL.

And a 9cm Elmar f4, 1930's lens.

Due to the shorter RF base of the CL,

will there be a huge enough difference between the two lenses?

Or is it not worth buying?

Also could we talk about technique, holding the camera, focusing, and shooting?

It looks like my hands could be more stable.

Forget f/2.8 on the CL but the "thin" Tele-Elmarit is sharper at f/4 than the Elmar from 1954 so i guess it is the same with the one from 1932. I have no experience with the latter though. For cheaper alternatives, i would try the Elmar-C 90/4 or the excellent M-Rokkor 90/4 which is slightly shorter than the "thin" Tele-Elmarit (pic) with the same quality and less flare than the latter.

There are viewfinder magnification glasses that mount before a Canon or an Olympus vf.

I don't think there is one for the CL. This would ease focusing on a 9cm lens since inscribed 9cm rectangle in the viewfinder is very small.

I will definitely look into comparisons of the tele Elmarit vs the 90mm CL lens, but with a magnification device I would be able to focus well with 9cm old Elmar.

Any one seen one like this?
