Voigtlander 15mm - rattle check, please

I've had a mark 1 Voigtlander 15mm for quite a few years.

 

I have just replaced it with a mark2 - mainly because of the filters.

 

I received it to day - and what a wonderfully built lens and what smooth operation.

 

I'm now looking at my old lens - which I am intending to sell on eBay - and I realise that the little lens hood seems to be very loose and a bit rattly.

Has it always been this way, or have I not noticed some deterioration over time.

 

Could someone who has a Mark 1 Voigtlander 15mm kindly have a look and tell me if their's is the same or is it all tight and sturdy.

I don't want to mislead anyone who might buy it online. The rest of the lens is perfect - but I don't know about the lens hood.

No hood wobble on my CV 15 v1. But the lens has seen little use.

Thanks. It must just be my copy then. I wonder whether it is possible to tighten it up

It certainly is (possibly a couple of loose screws inside?), but the cost of having it done by a proper lens repair shop may well end up being a good chunk of the lens' resale value.

Yes - maybe it is. I certainly wouldn't bother to get it fixed. I'll just have to warn any potential buyers and see what I can get from it.
