Advertisement Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Hi batmax, Take a look here Leica 16 mm R. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
algrove Posted November 26, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted November 26, 2013 Not the 16, but I have successfully mounted the R 15/2.8 with Novoflex adapter. I love it rendering almost better than WA M lenses. Images on the thread, R lenses on the M240 started by Jaap.
jaapv Posted November 26, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted November 26, 2013 Not on the M 240 yet, but it performs excellently on the M9 (and M8)
batmax Posted November 26, 2013 Author Share #4  Posted November 26, 2013 Thanks !  So ,what will be the problem… no focus with this lens ? Or what else..
jaapv Posted November 26, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted November 26, 2013 Of course there is no rangefinder coupling, but given the immense DOF on these lenses that is a non-issue, and you can use Live View. Because of their large angle of view you may experience some problems with exposure but either spot or multifield metering should take care of that. For the rest, just take care you don't include your shoes in the image by accident.
batmax Posted November 26, 2013 Author Share #6  Posted November 26, 2013 thanks Jaap !  I'll try and post something soon  At least I'll try to fit nice shoes … Lol !
algrove Posted November 26, 2013 Share #7 Â Posted November 26, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Remember batmax for me the EVF gives an exact framing so as to keep the shoes out of the frame.
farnz Posted November 27, 2013 Share #8 Â Posted November 27, 2013 Ciao, Max, Â It's a long time since I've seen a post from you so welcome back! Are you shooting video work with the M240 now? Â I don't have the 16/2.8 Elmarit-R but I do have the 19/2.8 Elmarit-R v2, which I have used with an adaptor on my M240 without a problem. Â You might get more responses if you post the question in the 'Leica R / Leicaflex' sub forum. Â Ciao, Pete.
batmax Posted November 30, 2013 Author Share #9  Posted November 30, 2013 Ciao Pete!  Good to hear u again… yes, I have been very busy for the last 3 years and did't have much time extra.. Yes, i got mine M couple of month ago and I like the idea of using all my R lenses with the adapter.. Recently I bought the 16 mm and waiting the delivery of it. Very exciting !! And you ? I saw you got the M too  ciao ,  Max
farnz Posted November 30, 2013 Share #10 Â Posted November 30, 2013 Yes I use all my R lenses with M right up to the 280/4 APO-Telyt, which is superb although large. My favourite R lens on the M is my 80 Summilux, which has had a new lease of life. Â I'd love to see some of your excellent video work with the M, and I expect others here would too, if it's not all tied up with clients' conditions etc. Are you continuing to shoot advertising footage or can we hope to see a feature film or two from you? Â Ciao, Pete.
