satijntje Posted November 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 25, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Tomorrow I will be picking up a new M240 at my local Leica shop. I intend to take my Summilux + IPad with me and check the M before payment:D if there are any dead pixels on board (red line) I assume, the best set up for this will be: High ISO Lux nearly closed White background Is this correct? Anything else that would be worth checking? Thanks for feedback John

I know of one other M240 owner on this forum that also had a line at ISO 640 so it may be a place to start! Checking each rating will be a pain though, it's a very, very thin line to spot on the rear screen, so it may not be practical to check in-store. All fixed now after sending it back to Solms, but took just over a month from the UK.
jaapv Posted November 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted November 25, 2013 Seeing that John can drive by Solms and maybe even have a sensor mapping done on a whilst-you-wait basis, I would not go to all that trouble. It is not a very common failing on a camera delivered in Germany anyway.
