Dikdik Posted November 17, 2013 Share #1 Posted November 17, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) All fotos were taken with Canon EOS machines and Leica Apo-Telyt 2,8/280 including Apo-Extender 1.4, tripod, electrical release and mirror lock-up. The connection between the Leica lenses and the Canons was established by Leitax system. The first foto demonstrates the total black Greater Antillean Grackle (Quiscalus niger). The small yellowish bird with fantastic camouflage in small bushes is a Bananaquit (Coereba flaveola), a small speedy bird from about 4.0 In in length. The third one is a Barred Antshrike (Thamnophilus doliatus). This is a quite common bird spread over the most states in South– and Central America, mostly recognized by its remakably song bringing to mind a diesel motor. The spanish name is “choca-barrada”. Hope, you will enjoy it. Best regards ;) Dikdik Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Dikdik Posted November 22, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted November 22, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Paul, Stuart, Karl, Brent, Iduna thank you all for your kind and encouraging remarks, I appreciate them. All fotos were not taken inside a wet and wild rainforest jungle during a long and laborious stay in Tobago´s interior. We - my wife and me - shot them absolutely comfortable in a beautiul cultivated garden from our room in a nice hotel on that beautiful island during a short stay for holidays. Some days of birding were adequate to know on what time in which place and how long the birds used to go. The rest was patience and of course – fortune. Thank you very much again. A happy weekend and best regards :) Dikdik
