Apo-Extender x 1,33 for Apo-Telyt-M 135 mm f/3.4

Would you buy a Apo-Extender-M x 1,33 for your Apo-Telyt-M 135 mm f/3.4 if ever Leica decide to design one ?

 

It would give you an Apo-Telyt 180mm f/4,5.

 

Of course it would only work properly with the M and the EVF.

 

I know I would. And even more so if it has an optional tripod mount (or nicely integrated one a la 70-200/2,8).

 

They may need (or want) to design a new Apo-Telyt-M 135 mm f/3.4 together with it for optimum results.

 

For the moment I am using my Apo-Telyt-R 180 mm f/2,8 on the M but it is heavy in the bag and also when used handheld for a long time.

 

And it put some stress on the lugs.

No, but I would buy a 1.4 tele-extender.

Or just use APO Elmarit R / APO Telyt R 180mm or any good SLR 180-200mm lens like Voightlander 180mm f4, sadly all out of production.

I used a 135 Elmarit on my M8 and found the 180 FOV useful. But it too is not a light lens.

 

Interesting thought though, if Leica would make a tele-extender in the future, it shows commitment to live view technology. Not offering one might hint at a better R solution in the pipeline.
