Surge Posted November 13, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted November 13, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, Â I just purchased the new M with a new 28mm Elmarit, and it feels great to be back shooting an M after I sold my M6 10 years ago! Â Can you tell me if this is normal - the Elmarit aperture ring moves ever so slightly (a fraction of a mm, perhaps 1/4 of a stop or less) past the smallest and largest apertures. Â Is this normal or should I take it in? Â Thanks

Fgcm Posted November 13, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted November 13, 2013 It's normal. Enjoy your new lens. Elmarit 28 Asph is a very fine lens. Possibly one of the best. Franco
Ecar Posted November 13, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted November 13, 2013 Yes, a design feature of several recent Leica lenses. Nothing to worry about.

Franco  Thank you for the responses. (Franco, did you by chance buy my M6 and 50mm Summicron in 2004?) I'm loving being back with the M. I tried to adapt to a Fuji X-Pro and Nikon D800E, but I just couldn't.  Sergio
