Wider than the 21

I am suffering from end of year GAS and am looking for a lens wider the the 21 (I do have the SEM and on my M9-P).

Choices are:

I do understand that 12 is very different from the 15. However I have some questions.

  1. Is there a difference between the LTM and M versions of these lenses?
  2. Is red edges very difficult to manage with either one and is the a version of these lenses that proves better e.g. newer release?

I have seen the pictures in the thread and I am intrigued. http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m-lenses/301746-voigtlander-12mm-f-5-6-m240-2.html

In a nutshell:

  1. Older LTM versions have no rangefinder coupling, so you need to scale-focus (not a big problem in practice, given the huge DOF, unless you want critical focus at short range). And you need an adapter, of course.
  2. Red edges are there (more so with the 15 than the 12), but manageable through Cornerfix or LR's FlatField plug-in or C1 lens correction.
