Iduna Posted November 5, 2013 Share #1  Posted November 5, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) it was one last warm late autumn evening and it was almost dark. So I did a longtime exposure of about 15 secs. Since there was a slight breeze you will notice swaying branches and their blurr. But this is part of the message. Mounted was the R Summircon 50 mm on Canon 5D MKII.   Welcome, dear visitor! Northwest Wanderer Posted November 5, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted November 5, 2013 Very nice. I prefer the first image. There is a dramatic difference between the b&w and the color version.
Karl G Posted November 6, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted November 6, 2013 Iduna, both show the lovely shape, but I am drawn to the beautiful colors of number two.
pauledell Posted November 6, 2013 Share #4 Â Posted November 6, 2013 Iduna, Â Both versions are great but I'm drawn to the first for its exquisite tones and the magic quiet light. Some of the best pictures of trees have come from the low lighting and long exposure. Â Paul
allamande Posted November 6, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted November 6, 2013 Iduna, Â Great idea and execution. The two versions are vastly different in terms of emotional charge (at least, for me). The color version conveys to me a deep sense of mystery and I definitely prefer that to the BW. Â Ece
Iduna Posted November 6, 2013 Author Share #6 Â Posted November 6, 2013 Bill, thanks for sharing the discussion. Yes, there is a big difference and a coompletely different story behind. Â Karl, I agree I alo like the color version for its kind of mysterious touch. In fact it was much darker in reality and thus it gets its magic here. Â Paul, many thanks for your interesting comment and I find it convincing what you are saying. In the b&w version the shape of the tree is clearer and the lighted part is framed better. Â Ece, thank you very much for finding the right definition. Yes, I think you are right and it was ideed a mastrious feeliong being out there alone when the world sank into darkness. And b its faded colors it gets its strange character. Â Everybody clicking the button is welcome, thank you
