algrove Posted November 2, 2013 Share #21  Posted November 2, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) No, I'm not sure you did. You said the Zeiss 21's rendering is fussy. Let's not start an Internet myth about the 21sem!!Pete  I reread his post and you correct in that he did not say that about the SEM 21, but as you state he said it about the 21 Zeiss. I stand corrected. Thanks.

asiafish Posted March 6, 2014 Share #23 Â Posted March 6, 2014 The Monochrom works well with just about any glass you put in front of it. I've used modern ASPH lenses (24/3.8 Elmar) and ancient uncoated lenses (1937 Zeiss 50/1.5 Sonnar) and the results always blow me away. What makes it so much fun is how well the Monochrom shows the character of your lenses in the files. For example, I actually own two Sonnars, the 1937 uncoated and the current ZM C Sonnar, both of which have very similar drawing characteristics, yet produce a very different look in the file. Adrian Lord Posted March 6, 2014 Share #25 Â Posted March 6, 2014 The MM loves all lenses, but certainly brings new life to old, including the 35 summaron 2.8 and nocti f1 in my experience. Â What I'm certain about is that you could buy a set of 'budget' vintage lenses for MM and have an absolute ball.
