ehall@ehallphoto.com Posted October 30, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted October 30, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just purchased a used 35mm Summilux from Adorama which was supposed to be FLE. The s/n is 4099526. The forum wiki is not clear regarding my s/n and there are no markings on the lens that say FLE. How do I know I have one? Advertisement Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Hi ehall@ehallphoto.com, Take a look here FLE or not?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Ecar Posted October 30, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted October 30, 2013 If the hood looks like the one on the wiki page you linked to, it's the FLE.
algrove Posted October 30, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted October 30, 2013 The manual included with the lens should talk about the floating lens element in the lens. It will not say FLE anywhere that I am aware of. You should also go by the Leica part number. It should be #11663 as noted on the outer box, inner box, plastic wrapping around the lens and on the inspection certificate. Let us know.
ehall@ehallphoto.com Posted October 30, 2013 Author Share #4 Â Posted October 30, 2013 No box, it was an EX+ used lens. Everything but the box.
ehall@ehallphoto.com Posted October 30, 2013 Author Share #5 Â Posted October 30, 2013 It is more like new than EX+. I am very pleased with the purchase and so far, the performance is pretty awesome.
jdlaing Posted October 30, 2013 Share #6 Â Posted October 30, 2013 Does the hood screw on or clamp on?
algrove Posted October 31, 2013 Share #7 Â Posted October 31, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) OP, what part number is stamped on your lens hood? Also what PN is stamped on the lens under "Made in Germany" at the base of the lens barrel?
01af Posted October 31, 2013 Share #8 Â Posted October 31, 2013 The s/n is 4099526. So it is the version with floating elements.
