stuny Posted October 29, 2013 Share #1  Posted October 29, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) The name of one of the nearly 3,000 who perished on 9/11. Robert Sliwak was a 42 year old bond broker with the firm of Cantor Fitzgerald and was at work on the 105th floor of the north tower when the first aircraft struck. He never made it out alive and none of his remains have been found. He left behind a wife, a son of 6 and twins of 3. When I took this photo winds were blowing water droplets from the memorial onto the bronze, almost like tears of grief.  Welcome, dear visitor! stuny Posted October 31, 2013 Author Share #7 Â Posted October 31, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) George, Jack, John, NN, Tango, Karl & Fred - Â Thank you. I found it most touching, similar to the first time I visited the Vietnam Vet memorial in Washington DC near Christmas time. It was sad and oddly cheering to see a small, decorated, spindly Christmas tree by one of the names, with a small holiday message to the fallen soldier.
