bernd_muc Posted October 25, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted October 25, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, Â I have a Summilux 50 version 2 which I would like to have 6-bit coded. Leica doesn't offer code this lens so I wonder if anyone knows a place in Hong Kong that does. Â I like the lens but keep forgetting to set the manual lens selection when when I put it on or switch back to automatic when I use another lens. Â Regards, Bernd

fahadm Posted October 25, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted October 25, 2013 I just got my 40-year old thin tele-elmarit CLA'ed in HKG. Â Brilliant job by Uncle Tat @ Panda Camera. Â The guy is a master Leica repairman (my lens had internal haze and now is flawless). He might be able to code as well. Â Make sure you book in advance (2-3 week waiting list). 01af Posted October 26, 2013 Share #4 Â Posted October 26, 2013 I have a Summilux 50 version 2 which I would like to have 6-bit-coded. Leica doesn't offer code this lens ... As a matter of fact, they do. The code is 000101.
algrove Posted October 26, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted October 26, 2013 I know they will not code the 50 lux pre-ASPH so perhaps you are thinking of that model #11114 the one used with hood #12586.

I forgot a "to" there; it should hve been "Leica doesn't offer to code this lens". (They charge you an arm and a leg but only code the "easy" ones, i.e. those where they can unscrew the flanges - because there are no screws).
