Lenshood question

Is there anyone in this forum who can shed any light onto what this lens hood (bottom) might be (barrel measure is 17 mm) and what lens(es) it's for. I can't find any info "anywhere". The "proper" ITOOY has a taller barrel. Image from Leica Camera Forum Wiki (top)

Thank you for any replies.

It's interesting. I am not sure about the 17mm you gave for the "barrel": does this include the chome base, or only the black part? The black part of the ITOOY with broad chrome ring measures about 17mm. The black part of ITOOY with small chrome band measures 27mm. So it could be a rare mixture between both versions of the ITOOY: small chrome band but also short black part.

Can you tell on which lens it fits? The ITOOY was for the later version of the 50mm Elmar with M-bayonet and 39mm-filters. If your lenshood fits this later version, it could support my assumption of an early (or intermediate?) ITOOY-version

I am pretty sure the black hood parts unscrew from the chrome mount on all these (I have several, in use including ITOOY and 12585, 12575) so it would be possible to produce all manner of interesting combinations!

The hood came with an old screw 50 mm Summicron that I bought years ago. It is the black part that is 17 mm (which I don't seem to be able to unscrew as with the ITOOY). Total with chrome part is 22 mm. The fitting is A 42 and cannot be mounted reversely as the later ITOOY (which btw black part measures roughly 18,5 mm and total with chrome part 29 mm.
