dugby Posted October 24, 2013 Share #1  Posted October 24, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sorry bad spelling... Fair or unfair.....   Hello, I was looking closely at a 2010 (based on S/N) 35 Lux FLE in my local dealer  Whilst the glass looks clean and mark-free, the body looked a bit shaggy....  The focus and aperature ring both looked to be losing paint evenly around the rings, (definately not from knocks).  Is that common for probably a highly-used 35 Lux FLE ? Advertisement Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Hi dugby, Take a look here Fare or unfare wear-n-tear 35-Lux-FLE ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wattsy Posted October 24, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted October 24, 2013 In my experience the current 35 Summilux is no more or no less prone to cosmetic wear than any other black anodised Leica lens.
Bill W Posted October 24, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted October 24, 2013 Either highly used or when stored, it was in something that caused wear around the body and rings. No clue what you are paying, but i would think a very gently used one could be had for not much more.
algrove Posted October 29, 2013 Share #4 Â Posted October 29, 2013 Agree with Bill, pass on this one and get a better looking one because if you ever want to sell it, the cosmetic condition could become a big factor with a potential buyer.
