Hi,

I have a Jupiter 8 that is a wee bit out of focus on M9 and M. I have currently "adjusted" with a tiny pice of thick tape on lens cam. Now I want to do it more permanent. Any ideas? Epoxy glue, solvent, glue thin piece of metal? All ideas or help apreciated.

Before you start soldering and gluing make sure your lens reaches infinity in the correct way.

When it does the focusing mechanism needs adjustment and you can start soldering and filing.

When your lens does not reach or overshoots infinity, you need to fix that first.

This involves moving the lens head relative to the mount or the whole lens (by adjusting the bayonet). I do not know the Jupiter lens so I can not advice on the 'detail'.

But start with the infinity adjustment, otherwise your lens will focus near-by but will not be in focus at mid-range objects.
