bruniroquai Posted October 3, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted October 3, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have this lens, it's in excellent condition and I think is a collectors item, but can't find so much information about it. Â Do You know where can I read about it? Â Thanks.
Advertisement Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Hi bruniroquai, Take a look here Summicron 50 Jahre. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
algrove Posted October 4, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted October 4, 2013 I have one too, but only know what I read on Wiki Leica.
Ginko Posted October 4, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted October 4, 2013 Ask directly Leica about it, they might have better infos. If I understood, it's a modern pre apo-asph Summicron lens in a "Rigid" like design with maybe a slight different handling and production proccess. Â As for the collectible part or not, it is one point of view. To me, it is a sweet special edition and variant of the Cron but not a collector. bruniroquai Posted October 4, 2013 Author Share #4 Â Posted October 4, 2013 And how much I can ask for it? Really I Don't need it. Â Thanks.
Ginko Posted October 4, 2013 Share #5 Â Posted October 4, 2013 Well, that's up to you. People sell/buy at the price they think it is worth or want. Around 1200-1350 euros sounds reasonable and correct to me ( and from the sold price I've seen here and there). Someone offered me one (boxed, like new) for 1500 euros at the end of last year but I declined because, 1- it was not worth it imho and 2- I prefer old lenses and so, chose the good old Rigid one instead. Â Now I wouldn't mind reading feedbacks from users about their photos taken with this one.

philipus Posted October 7, 2013 Share #7 Â Posted October 7, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I guess you've googled for info, but here's a thread on photo.net. Â It's got the same optic formula as the current non-APO model and was issued to celebrate 50 years from the first Summicron. Â As for value perhaps this Collectiblend page helps (and is permitted to post). Â Cheers Philip
