Summicron 50 Jahre

Ask directly Leica about it, they might have better infos.

If I understood, it's a modern pre apo-asph Summicron lens in a "Rigid" like design with maybe a slight different handling and production proccess.

As for the collectible part or not, it is one point of view.

To me, it is a sweet special edition and variant of the Cron but not a collector.

Well, that's up to you. People sell/buy at the price they think it is worth or want.

Around 1200-1350 euros sounds reasonable and correct to me ( and from the sold price I've seen here and there).

Someone offered me one (boxed, like new) for 1500 euros at the end of last year but I declined because, 1- it was not worth it imho and 2- I prefer old lenses and so, chose the good old Rigid one instead. :D

Now I wouldn't mind reading feedbacks from users about their photos taken with this one.

I guess you've googled for info, but here's a thread on photo.net.

It's got the same optic formula as the current non-APO model and was issued to celebrate 50 years from the first Summicron.

As for value perhaps this Collectiblend page helps (and is permitted to post).

Cheers

Philip
