I went to the new Leica store in Los Angeles and the 2 cameras with 2 different same lenses all had the same issue. Talked to Leica directly and they said that the lens hood could be straightened out if I send the lens in. I told them that after spending $5,000 you come and see me. That is unbelievable that they can not get the tooling right.. that this happens to every one of those 35mm lens. I told them that when the hood is put on a 24mm it fits perfectly. So the jig that set the threads to match the 35mm was off at the factory. The devil is in the details and this is what we pay for.. Very sad.. This has nothing to do with the lens not working and the pictures are great... It is just very noticeable when you point this out on the camera.
