jaques Posted September 24, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted September 24, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have just come across an impressive vintage Exakta/Ihagee mount Zeiss Biotar 75mm f1.5. Looking around I can't seem to find any adaptor ring to mount it onto my M. I have a Nikon to M body adapter but I can't find Exakta body to Nikon lens rings either... I found Exakta Lens to Canon Body- But can't seem to find Canon Lens to Leica body ring... what am I missing here, what permutation of rings and adapters do I need, or is there one ring to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them?? Â Can it be done? Can Exacta mount lenses be used on M Mount cameras?

farnz Posted September 24, 2013 Share #4  Posted September 24, 2013 I believe Novoflex makes one or sells one. Look for "LEMA+EXRING" Are you certain this is for lenses in Exakta/Ihagee mount? The description on Adorama's website is that the LEMA+EXRING is for Leica M to Exakta 66, which I believe are lenses in 6x6 cm medium format.  Pete. That zeiss lens looks to be standard exakta mount.... seems to be what I need... but too expensive... Â does anyone know of any other solution? jaques Posted September 26, 2013 Author Share #9  Posted September 26, 2013 Here is one for LTM 39mm you can then use a normal LTM to Leica M adapterDon't let it go... these are not very common.  thanks- I also figured this out only a little too late- and got This $67 One  if I had figured it out earlier I could have got This $6 One Leitz Genuine 'fur Leica'???  now I can use a 75mm LTM to M ring (which I have)- and it will bring up the correct framelines... it will be interesting to test this lens... and I just realised I have a Zeiss 50mm f2 Planar with Steretar Stereo Beam Splitter also in Exakta mount... can't wait to try that out on m240.  In fact I predict these little adaptor rings will soon by in demand with the m240'istas - there is a great deal of amazing Exakta lenses out there
Nick_S Posted October 11, 2013 Share #10 Â Posted October 11, 2013 Apparently the Topcon line of 35mm cameras also used the Exacta mount, so this brand may add some other lens options to try. Â I had an Exacta RTL 1000 which looked like an East German Nikon F that was okay, but it did not compare in ergonomics or viewfinder to the Olympus OM1 that I replaced it with.
