Nick De Marco Posted September 8, 2013 Share #1  Posted September 8, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Im about to go tomorrow  I'm taking the M (Typ 240) with 28 and 50mm Summicrons, and the MP with some film and a 35mm Summicron.  I reckon that all I need, and will probably be all I take, but my latest blog is a muse on whether to add a 21 (and which one) and 90mm  Here: Rangefinder Chronicles: Going to China? 21s and a 90? skuromis Posted September 8, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted September 8, 2013 I personally wouldn't go without a 90mm. I found a longer lens (100 mm on DSLR though) quite useful to take pictures on markets to isolate special moments from all the crowd around and in temples not to disturb people. akiralx Posted September 9, 2013 Share #6 Â Posted September 9, 2013 Perfect choice. Â Agreed - though I tend to take at least one f/1.4 lens on trips.

A lot of agreement here  I agree, I'd be taking a 50 Summilux. However the OP may not have one though or wants to travel lighter
Paul J Posted September 9, 2013 Share #8 Â Posted September 9, 2013 35mm of your choice, on an M hanging from your neck, and a plastic bag in your pocket for the camera in case it rains.
algrove Posted September 9, 2013 Share #9 Â Posted September 9, 2013 Take more lenses and leave the MP at home. If need a second camera just take a P&S.
Stein K S Posted September 9, 2013 Share #10 Â Posted September 9, 2013 I am going on a small trip in two weeks... still Europe though... Â And I'll bring 28 elmarit, 35 lux, 50 elmar-m... and an 90 elmar-c 4,0... The 35 probably stays on 70% of the time... so I fancy the other 3 lenses being as small and light as possible... while still being available if needed. Â Have a great trip!
